1.Project Update

This delivery covers a DN400 bevel gear operated Y-pattern pressure seal butt-weld globe valve, primarily designed for main steam and hot reheat steam systems in 1,000 MW-class thermal power generation units. It is suitable for medium shut-off and system isolation under severe operating conditions involving high temperature, high pressure, and frequent thermal cycling, and is strictly designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with ASME B16.34, JB/T 3595 power plant valve standards, and project technical specifications.

2.Project Highlights

The valve body is manufactured from ASTM A217 WC9 chromium-molybdenum heat-resistant cast alloy steel, while ASTM A182 F91 and other heat-resistant forged alloy steels may also be selected according to project technical specifications and pressure-retaining component requirements. Combined with a pressure self-tightening seal structure and a bevel gear reduction mechanism, the sealing force applied to the bonnet sealing ring increases as the internal valve pressure rises, effectively improving sealing reliability under high-pressure operating conditions.

The Y-pattern low-flow-resistance passage reduces abrupt changes in the flow direction of the steam medium, effectively lowering flow resistance, pressure loss, and medium erosion in large-diameter pipelines. The bevel gear operating mechanism significantly reduces the opening and closing torque required for the DN400 large-diameter valve, ensuring stable operation, reliable shut-off, and long-term performance under operating conditions involving temperatures of approximately 570°C, ultra-high pressure, and frequent thermal cycling.
